COVID-19 Closures and Cancellations

Paris R-II School is closed until further notice and ALL sports and events have been cancelled
Holliday C-2 School is closed until April 6 which time it will be reevaluated and ALL sports and events have been cancelled
Middle Grove School is closed until April 6 which time it will be reevaluated and ALL sports and events have been cancelled
Monroe City School District is closed until April 6 which time it will be reevaluated and ALL sports and events have been cancelled
DESE at all school districts end of the year testing (MAP/EOC) has been cancelled for this year
Spring Dinner Theater at the Madison Community Center on March 28 has been canceled.
Madison City Hall has closed the lobby for face to face contact. They will be in the office to take phone calls
Paris Lobby at City Hall will remain open, however, this may change at any time. We strongly encourage our customers to utilize the drop box located in the South parking lot or mail in any payments. Our office will maintain regular business hours, so please feel free to call with any questions or concerns. At this time, we are discussing how to proceed forward with the rental of the City facilities and intend to make a decision as soon as possible. Updates will be posted online once decisions are made.

ALL road tests statewide has been suspended as a precaution to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The patrol said it cancelled all tests scheduled through March 31

Little Dixie Regional Libraries is closed to the public at 6pm. But they will still be here to answer phones, get books ready, plan programs, and help with reference questions. Check out our always available online resources at www.ldrl.org Don’t worry about overdue items, they are extending due dates. And don’t worry about holds, they promise to keep them for you!
Monroe County courthouse will be locked until further notice. Offices will still be open for phone calls and if you have a matter of extreme importance, you can ring the doorbell on the East side of the courthouse and someone will come see you. If anyone has traveled to a foreign country in the last 14 days or have been in the close vicinity of the same, they will not be allowed to enter.
The Monroe County jail has also suspended all inmate visits during this time frame. Inmates are still allowed to use the phone and receive commissary.
Deputies have been advised to patrol but keep personal contacts to a minimum. CCW’s and renewals will be suspended till further notice unless you are close to the 6 month grace period of your expiration date (6 months AFTER your expiration date)Sex offenders will check in telephonically with Julie at 660-327-4060
Missouri Supreme Court has suspended in person court appearances with some exceptions.
Due to precautions of the COVID virus- Governor Parsons in conjunction with Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, has declared a state of emergency and has postponed the April 7th Municipal Election to June 2. Thank you Monroe County for your patience and understanding while we are working to keep everyone safe. See you at the polls on June 2!
The extensions will apply for license plates, driver license, nondriver license, noncommercial instruction permits and motor vehicle registrations set to expire anytime within the months of March or April, according to a statement from the governor’s office. It also applies for those needing a vehicle safety and emission inspection. Those who have expiring license will be given two-month extensions. Owners will be allowed to continue driving on Missouri roadways without penalty until they can apply for renewal.
