Paris Farmer’s Market Opening Day

April 05, 2021

By Robin Gregg

It’s that time again for the Monroe County Courthouse lawn to be turned into a Farmers’ Market. On Saturday, May 1, will be the first Farmer’s Market for 2021 in Paris. The Farmers Market will be every Saturday morning from 8am-12pm.

If anyone is selling any food/ produce/ baked goods, etc, you will need to follow the guidelines for the Farmer's Market on what can be sold, how to package, label, and any other information. You can get the guidelines from the Monroe County Health Department.

Jennifer Miller has a vendor group that she’s working on and hopes to have that up and going with information within a few days.

If you are a new vendor, they’d recommend using a canopy (is not necessary but it is nice to keep the sun off of you, or in case of any rain) and 1-3 folding tables (usually 6-8 foot tables). Also, tablecloths, chairs, a money box/bag, bags for your items to go in if they are small, and some change. Most usually bring tape, scissors, pens, and paper. Something to drink is usually a plus!

Follow their Facebook group “Paris Mo Farmers Market” for information on visitors and vendors.
