2021 Educator of The Year By: Lacey Shumard
Beth (Turner) Sander was selected as the 2021 Educator of the Year for the Northeast Region of Missouri. Beth has taught for 12 years. She has taught at Sylvan Learning Center from 2006-2009, Holliday School District from 2009-2013, and Moberly(Gratz Brown Elementary) from 2013-present.
What made her realize her passion for becoming a teacher was her senior year of high school she had the opportunity to do cadet teaching and loved it. She realized she wanted to be a positive influence for children. The best part of her job is enjoying the smiles and high fives, watching each child grow and learn, and feels like during the year we become like a family.
Her family includes: Grandparents- Rob Wood(Madison), Judy Hollingsworth(Paris) Parents-Larry and Robbie Turner(Paris) My husband, Phillip, and I live in Cairo with our two children, Hutson and Nora.
