MU Extension Still Serves Needs of County in Trying Times

April 08, 2020

All over the nation, people are adapting to change forced by the pandemic. University of Missouri Extension – Ralls County is no exception. Quickly adapting to changing needs, local extension specialists are now holding their monthly meetings by phone and online videoconference to help make sure University of Missouri Extension can continue its local work.
While our office in the courthouse is currently closed in response to the COVID-19 crisis, we are still responding to client needs says Jim Meyer, County Engagement Specialist. Clients may still call our office at 573-985-3911 and the call will be answered. We are also still monitoring our email and connecting with clients digitally whenever possible to assist them with their needs. While all face-to-face programming has been suspended, programs that can be delivered digitally are available.
MU Extension has provided a compilation of useful resources at https://extension2.missouri.edu/covid-19-resources-public . At this website citizens can find a wide range of helpful resources ranging from business information to ways to reduce stress. Daily activities for 4-H members are also listed.
While this pandemic is forcing change to all of our lives, University of Missouri Extension is adapting to still serve needs of local citizens.
