RCE March Habit Heroes

Mrs. Gatson: Elaina Marks
Elaina is a first grader who lives the 7 Habits. She can always be counted on to Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood. Elaina listens respectfully when her classmates are speaking, then is always ready to step up and do her part when it is time. Elaina puts first things first by focusing on her work. Because of her effort every day, she has really blossomed as a reader this year.
Mrs. Duckworth - Brooklen Bird
It is an honor to recognize Brooklen Bird as our next Habit Hero. Brooklen is a remarkable, proactive student with a heart of gold. Brooklen works hard in class. She strives to be her best and gives her best at all times. Brooklen is a great listener. She listens to the teachers and also listens as her friends speak. Brooklen is new to our district this year, but that hasn’t stopped her from making new friends while also keeping up with kids from her last school
Mrs. McCourt: Clayton Ragland
Clayton is a kindergartener who lives the 7 habits. He always puts first things first by getting right to work on his writing and focusing only on that. Clayton works really hard on keeping his writing nice and neat. He has the neatest handwriting in his class. He goes above and beyond on writing his stories. He always has a story to share, after his work is done of course! He is kind and respectful to his classmates.
Mrs. Allen: Alex Helm
Mrs. Allen is proud to recognize Alex Helm as her March Habit Hero. Alex has lived the 7 Habits this year by being proactive, putting first things first and beginning with the end in mind in reading class. He has worked hard to improve his reading and writing and that hard work has paid off! He recently scored above the end of the year goal on SRI! Mrs. Allen has enjoyed working with Alex this year and is so impressed at his improvement in reading. Keep being a Ralls County Leader Alex!
Mrs. Carson: Lexie Bland
Lexie Bland is an energetic second grader from Mrs. Hathaway’s class. Lexie comes into the computer lab with a smile, ready to listen and track the teacher. She also encourages other classmates to do the same. When typing at the keyboard she tries so hard not to look at the keyboard and completes her lesson in a timely fashion. I appreciate her willingness to be proactive when others need help, or just by doing her job as she leaves her space ready for the next class. Thank you, Lexie, for a job well done this year!
Mrs. Blackford: Katie Chipman
Mrs. Blackford would like to recognize Katie Chipman as a March Habit Hero. Katie uses the 7 Habits all day, every day. She is always ready to read and improve in her learning. She is Proactive, Begins with the End in Mind, and Puts First Things First. Katie always has a positive attitude and has made such wonderful improvements in her reading this year. I am so proud of Katie and all the hard work she has put forth. Way to be a leader Katie!
