2024 Blow Cancer Away

The Monroe County Cancer Supporters' 2024 Blow Cancer Away Banquet was held on March 2, 2024, at Knights of Columbus Hall in Monroe City. This was their 14th year of fundraising. Approximately 375 attended this years event which is a lot lower than in years past.

A free-will donation was at sign in at the door with a delicious pork loin dinner, a live auction, a silent auction, and raffle items. Justin Edwards and Anthony Peoples were the auctioneers for the night.

Barb McCall shared, "Thank you for capturing the very essence of this event! Good food, good fellowship, and supporting an amazing cause."

A total of over $55,000 has initially been raised. This annual event raises money to help neighbors, friends, and family dealing with a cancer diagnosis. 100% of the proceeds go to Monroe County's cancer needs.
