Audrain to open drive-thru testing site

Patients must have a physician order for testing
SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Audrain will open its drive-thru COVID-19 testing site, Monday, April 6, at the main/north entrance of the hospital off of Love and Monroe Streets, specifically 620 E. Monroe. The testing site will be open from 9 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday and will test people who are showing symptoms of the virus. This area is designated for drive-thru testing only. All other individuals seeking care or providing healthcare services are asked to enter through the Emergency Room entrance due to new restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please note Monroe Street to Hord Street will be closed to through traffic from 9 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday to accommodate the testing site.
Anyone who feels sick and has symptoms consistent with COVID-19 is encouraged to complete a free online evaluation or call their primary care provider. In order to be tested, patients must have a physician order.
SSM Health offers a free online evaluation at www.ssmhealth.com/covid19. You do not need to be an existing SSM Health patient to do the online evaluation. The virtual visit begins with an online assessment of each patient’s symptoms and potential exposure. Next, the patient will be virtually connected with an SSM Health Medical Group provider for evaluation and care, as appropriate. If testing is recommended, patients will be directed to the nearest SSM Health testing facility.
The St. Mary’s Hospital testing site is located at the main/north entrance under the awning. There is directional signage set up along Monroe Street. Patients will stay in their vehicle throughout the testing process and will be asked to provide identification and an insurance card. Patients will not be billed for the test or asked to pay a co-pay.
The move demonstrates SSM Health’s commitment to ensuring everyone has access to high-quality affordable health care. These proactive steps ensure the continued safety of our patients, visitors, physicians, staff and communities.
