The Paris Coyotes put together a solid offensive performance and their defense continued their early-season dominance en route to a 46-14 victory over the Orrick Bearcats. Paris opened the game with an impressive touchdown scoring drive capped off by a 2-yard Brad Skinner touchdown run. From that drive on, the Coyote passing game took over. The first scoring connection was from Luke Ensor to Logan Mitchell from 2 yards out to increase the Coyotes' lead to 14-0. Orrick put together their only first-half scoring drive to make the score 14-6, but Ensor and Mitchell connected again, this time from 44 yards out, to extend the Coyotes' lead to 22-6 at the end of the first quarter. Neither team could get much going for most of the second quarter until Paris put together a late drive that was capped off as time expired with a 4-yard touchdown pass from Ensor to Bryce Wade. That score increased the Coyote led to 30-6 at halftime. Once again, the Coyotes were able to score one touchdown in the third quarter, again from Ensor to Wade, this time from 17 yards out. That increased the Coyotes lead to 38-6. The Coyotes capped off an impressive drive early in the fourth quarter, culminating with an Ensor to Chase Kendrick touchdown pass which increased the score to 44-6. The Coyotes' final scoring drive was capped off by an 8-yard touchdown pass from Ensor to Wade once again. The touchdown pass was Ensor's 6th, a new Paris Coyote record and Wade's reception was his 3rd touchdown, also a new Paris Coyote record. "We have several solid threats on offense. We can run the ball with multiple solid backs and then have good options at tight end and receiver. We are going to take what the defense gives us and Luke and the receiver group did a great job tonight. Our o-line did a great job of providing time as well." Coach Cody Carney
The Bearcats tacked on a late fourth quarter touchdown to reach the final score of 46-14. With the win the Coyotes improved to 2-0 on the season.
