December 21, 2025

Concerned Citizens of Perry is excited to announce its first-ever Perry Christmas Home Lighting Display Contest, debuting on Saturday, December 20, 2025, with judging beginning at 5:30 p.m. This new community tradition aims to bring neighbors together, spark holiday spirit, and illuminate the pride of Perry.
A distinguished panel of judges will tour participating homes and evaluate displays based on creativity, holiday cheer, and overall visual appeal. Judges for the inaugural event include:
oo Kara Overly, owner of Destinations of the Heart Travel Planning
oo Taylor Stratton, Miss Katy Trail
oo Olivia Quinn, retired Methodist Pastor
Concerned Citizens of Perry Founder and President John DiMaria expressed his enthusiasm for launching this new tradition:"We're thrilled to introduce this festive event to our community. It's a fun way to celebrate the season, show off our creativity, and bring Perry families together in the spirit of Christmas."
All decorated homes within Perry city limits will be entered into the Christmas Home Decoration Contest. Each residence will be judged and considered for two award places: Traditional/Classic Christmas and Kids Delight. We can't wait to see the creativity and let's see Perry sparkle!
Concerned Citizens of Perry are looking forward to lighting up the town and making this first annual event a memorable one.
A big shout out to all the residents in Perry that really lit up the city! So many beautiful homes and so many decorations.
