Big Changes at Monroe County Extension Office

 
Beginning March 2, 2026 the Extension Office will be open on a limited basis. You can call 888-577-4158 to leave a message or email monroeco@missouri.edu and someone will get back to you. For March and April the office will be open one day a week, mostly Wednesdays. 
The reason for the change, Kathy Hasekamp, Youth Program Associate and Office Admin since August 2019, has taken a job at the Missouri State 4-H Office on MU campus, in Columbia. There will be some job postings soon to replace the position(s). 
As far as renting the 4-H Building on the Fairgrounds or the Extension Office Basement, you can call Shelby DeOrnellis, Extension Council Chairman at 573-473-8599 to make reservations. 
We are sorry for the limited hours for the next few months, but hope to get some new people hired so that we can serve Monroe County through MU Extension programs.
