Paris Rolls Past NW-Hughesville in Season Opener
The Paris Coyotes opened the 2026 football season on a high note Friday night, August 28, earning a strong victory over visiting NW-Hughesville with 64-42 score.
Paris got its offense going early and received a major boost from its special teams. Logan Mitchell opened the scoring with a 66-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The Coyotes continued to find the end zone throughout the game, with scoring contributions from Spencer Minks, Sawyer Clements, Kristian Harvey and Case Morgan.
Minks led the Paris rushing attack with 54 yards on nine carries, while Sawyer Clements added 72 yards on nine carries. Logan Mitchell finished with 36 yards rushing and also made an impact on special teams.
Through the air, Minks completed 3 of 8 passes for 69 yards with no interceptions. He connected with Case Morgan for 64 yards and Cale Morrison for 5 yards.
The Coyotes also received strong defensive efforts throughout the contest. Minks led Paris with 10 total tackles, while Kristian Harvey recorded 10. Sawyer Clements added eight tackles, and Case Morgan finished with one.
Paris' defense also recorded three sacks; Bryce Wade with two and Kaden Lehenbauer with one and a recovery fumble by Bryce Wade.
The Coyotes will look to build on the momentum from their season-opening performance as they continue the 2026 football season.
