Covid-19 has not slowed the Paris Senior Citizens Community Center down, in fact it has actually picked up according to Tara Garside, Administrator.

“We are doing better now than on our “normal days”. Instead of giving cash back change, clients are saying ‘keep the change’ or paying an extra dollar or two on top of their meal price,” said Tara.

They are serving an average of 40 meals a day; some days are busier than others. Wednesday, they served 90 meals.

Tara says she has received donations from the community. “On March 25, we received three donations totaling $850.00!”

The Senior Center is taking extra precautions at this time due to Covid-19. They are wearing masks and gloves while prepping, cooking, serving, and cleaning as well as hand washing more often.

The Senior Center staff (Aleisha Brown, Michelle Garner, Sue Little and Tara Garside) would like to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this incredibly supportive and helpful community. Also thank you to the volunteers who are working to keep things running smoothly.
