Joyce Ann Winfree, 87, of Perry, Missouri, passed away at 1:14 PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Monroe City Manor in Monroe City, MO.

A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. William Catholic Church in Perry, MO. Father John Henderson will officiate.

Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Perry, MO.

There will be no visitation.

The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO.

Joyce was born May 10, 1933, in Perry, MO to Otis A. Myers and Mary A. Murphy Myers.

She was married to Charles R. Winfree on June 16, 1951 in Perry, MO. He survives. Recently Joyce and Charles celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary.

Other survivors include 4 children, Brenda Van Cleave of Perry, MO, Paula Winfree of Hannibal, MO, Lisa Campbell (Gerry) of Monroe City, MO and Dennis Winfree of East Moline, IL and 1 sister, Rebecca McCollum of Centralia, MO.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Kayla, Abigail, Amanda, Elaine, Emily, Alexander, Sean, Kelli, Peter and Rebecca, 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Charles David Winfree, 4 brothers, Pat Myers, Jimmy Myers, Junior Myers, and Bernard Myers, 3 sisters, Ellen Roland, Nellie Branstetter and Catherine Carter, mother in law, Pauline Winfree and father in law, Adolphus Winfree.

Joyce was a homemaker. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. A wonderful baker, Joyce made the best pancakes, chocolate pie and scones for her family. A gifted seamstress, Joyce could sew about anything. She also enjoyed bowling and dancing with her husband, Charles. Crossword puzzles, playing cards and simply enjoying coffee on her front porch with her friends were a few of Joyce’s favorites. Most of all Joyce cherished the moments she shared with her family and friends.

A devout Catholic, Joyce prayed to the “Hail Mary” to the Blessed Mother often and was faithful to her church. She formerly attended the St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Coal Valley, IL and was currently a member of St. William Catholic Church in Perry, MO.

Pallbearers will be Joyce’s grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Williams Catholic Church or to Greenlawn Cemetery.
