Eighth Annual Salt River Quilt Show
The Monroe County Historical Society hosted its Eighth Annual Salt River Quilt Show, “SPIRIT OF AMERICA,” on October 4 and 5, 2025, at the Mark Twain Memorial Shrine in Florida, MO.
The theme of the quilt show celebrates our nation’s 250th anniversary and will showcase quilts that reflect our country’s history, its natural wonders, and our American heroes, as well as what we love about our nation or think is uniquely American.
The winners were: American Hero First Place Ruth Miller; American Hero Third Place Mary Cowie; Color Me America First Place Jean Bell; Color Me American Second Place Nancy Crain; Color Me America Third Place Ruth Miller; Only In America Second Place Diane Brennan-Germann; Only In America Third Place Jean Bell; Miscellaneous First Place Carol Young; Miscellaneous Second Place Connie Nichols; Miscellaneous Third Place Sandy Whitworth; American The Beautiful Second Place Linda Muehring; American The Beautiful Third Place Lesa Spegal; Judge’s Choice Jason Wilkerson; Youth Winner Evelyn Goodman.
